How To Use Other People's Article Titles To Make Money

Writing articles for money is not easy, but lately I have seen an increase in page views that I am sure came as a result of listening to other writers and implementing the methods they use to write articles for money. I also figured out a couple of little keyword tricks of my own, which are in fact, variations of several keyword research methods I have learned from other writers. It’s been working better than I had anticipated and I am sure it will help you too. For example, one new article I wrote using this keyword research method has gotten four times more traffic in one week than some of my other articles that have been published for two years. Here’s how I use other people’s titles to get more page views, and a higher probability of people clicking ads.

Go to Google, Bing, Yahoo or whichever search engine you prefer to use. I personally use Google, only because that is the giant I want to take notice of my articles. Think of something you want to write your article about; for this example we will use the obvious “get paid to write”, and type that into your search bar. In just a few seconds, Google will tell you that there are 21,800,000 websites listed for that particular search term. That big number might sound impressive, but what it tells you is that you are now going to be in direct competition with over 21 million others to be seen. That is not impossible if you stay on topic and word your article carefully. The trick is to get your share of that extreme volume of traffic on your chosen subject.

Look down the list first and check out the titles in bold print. Use them for a reference point to craft your own article title because now you know they work effectively. Right click on the first two or three websites to open them. Scan the first few paragraphs of each of the articles and take a note of repeating keywords and phrases. For example, the first website has made use of the words “writing”, “freelance writer”, “articles”, “earn extra income”, and “earn revenue”. Some others are “writing articles for money”, “write online content”, and of course, our original search term “get paid to write”.

Make sure to use each of these keywords throughout your article, with an emphasis on your first and last paragraphs. Call the first draft a rough one because you’re also going to use MS Word to edit and exchange a few of these generic terms with synonyms so your article isn’t so overcrowded that it is terrible to read. Anyone can stuff an article, but that is not what you want to happen. You want a variation on those keywords to account for all the other people who didn’t use the exact search term “get pad to write” but who are still looking for exactly that.

Paste your article onto MS Word if you aren’t using it already. On the top ribbon, click on “Review” and on the top left hand side you will see “Thesaurus”. Go to the second paragraph of your article and highlight one of the keywords you have already used a couple of times. A box will open on the right side of your page with suggestions for other similar words and phrases - select one and use it in place of your keyword or phrase. Rinse and Repeat for the rest of your article, but leave the last paragraph intact so it uses the original keywords and phrases you wrote in the first paragraph.

Now you have an article with appropriate keywords and phrases, and several synonyms that will attract people who need information about what you wrote. When you publish your article, use some of the original keywords along with some of the synonyms from the thesaurus for your tags. Rather than getting a small number of page views for the day, you should see an increase in your page views, therefore increasing your chances of getting Google clicks and making some money online from your articles. One well-priced click is not as good as dozens of lower paying clicks, particularly when you know your article can now be found easily, and people will continue to visit indefinitely.

great information, I will try whatyou said. The other thing that I have been doing and Jason mentioned it at hupcamp in Hollywood was going into the key words at the top of the article and using those to write a new hub, though that was also a great way to get new titles going.

Hi Dawn; yes, please do try what you have been told. I am far from being an expert here at this point, although things are looking brighter since I have tried this method.

My regards,
